We all experience pain in different phases of our life. It’s either you experience it mentally, emotionally, or physically. So pain is a noticeable ache or physical suffering or an example of this; an unwanted sensation resulting from muddled functions, disease or injury by violence; wound. Pain could come from the condition or state of anguish. Primarily mental, as opposed to pleasure, torment, distress, sadness, griefs, solicitude, or disquietude.
Most of these pains may lead to some of your tissue damage if not properly managed, but fortunately, most of the problem you feel tells you that something is wrong and need urgent attention. The pains you feel are usually initiated in the brain, and it is as a result of the wellness of your nervous system.
It can be pinching, aching, throbbing, and stabbing. You might be seeing some physical symptoms like; nausea, dizziness, weakness, or drowsiness. At a time, it strikes your emotions like your depression, anger, and mood swings. Unfortunately, it is capable of influencing your career, behavior, and lifestyle.
Types of Pains
The pain you experience was classified into two ways, they are; acute pain and chronic pain. Acute pain is a kind of pain that you only experience for a little month. It only lasts for a month. It is capable of damaging your soft tissues. While chronic pain is different from acute pain, it is severe, which takes weeks, months, and even years. It affects your nervous system so badly, and it is caused by inflammatory or dysfunctional nerves

Nociceptive Pain
This pain is the most common type of pain you feel. It is felt from any physical damage to your body. It was classified under acute pain. This type of pain is felt when the specialized nerve cells called nociceptors detect strange stimuli. The stimuli could include; bruises, burn, fractures, arthritis, or sprain (such as extreme cold or heat, pinching, stabbing, pressure, and chemicals) and then sending a warning signal through your nervous system your brain. This process results in nociceptive pain.
If you feel nociceptive pain, you will feel a burning sensation along the affected nerves, also a numb feeling.
Nociceptive pain symptoms include muscle weakness, numbness, tingling sensation, lack of sensitivity to temperature change, sensitivity to touch, and stabbing pain.
Neuropathic Pain
This is another type of pain that you felt after your nervous system had already been damaged or not functioning properly. It does not respond to any external or internal stimuli like that of nociceptive pain. This pain is classified as chronic pain.
Most of this pain is caused by diseases and conditions, like; amputation, diabetes, strokes, and so on.
Symptoms of neuropathic pain; shooting, burning pain, tingling an electric-like sensation, loss of balance resulting in falling, sensitivity to touch, throbbing, and numbness.
Visceral Pain
It is a pain that generates from your internal organs. It is caused by the inflammation, the restriction of blood supply to tissues, and mesenteric stretching. This pain is always in disguise in your body; it comes in the form of vomiting, a high temperature, which makes it difficult to diagnose. You may feel the pain if you have an infection, disease, injury, tumor, or bleeding.
It causes a profound sensation in your body. It can sometimes feel like something is squeezing your body on the inside. Sometimes menstrual pain causing an aching feeling.
Symptoms of visceral pain; nausea, paleness, heart rate changes, blood pressure, sweating, and change in temperature.
Cancer Pain
From the name, it is a pain from cancer itself. The tumor keeps growing; as the tumor, it can press on bones, nerves, or organs. The type of cancer pain depends on the type of cancer you have and your pain tolerance. The pain may be sharp, severe, dull, constant, achy, burning.
Symptoms of cancer; unusual bleeding and blood loss, change in urine and bowel habit, fever, a non-healing sore, nagging persistent cough, decreased weight, difficulty in food intake, indigestion, and thickened lump.
Vascular Pain
This type of pain results from the disturbed flow of blood to any of your organs, tissues, or nerves. Many of the vascular pains are due to vascular diseases.
Symptoms of vascular pain; numbness, pain, tingling, and heaviness in the areas affected by the disturbed blood supply.
